Barratt London has donated £1,500 to The Outrunners, an East London youth charity that provides inclusive running and fitness sessions alongside mentoring and community activities.
The Outrunners supports young people through a number of programmes designed to build confidence, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for personal development. The charity aims to create a safe and supportive environment where young people can stay active and connect with others.
The £1,500 donation will directly support the charity’s youth running and movement programmes, helping to provide more young people with access to structured activities that promote physical health, wellbeing and social connection. The funding will also help to ensure that the youth in East London have a safe an inclusive environment to participate in organised sport and community programmes.
Tyler Williams-Green, CEO and Founder at The Outrunners said: “We are thrilled and incredibly grateful for this donation from Barratt London which will go a long way in supporting our mission here at The Outrunners. Our programmes are designed to help open doors for young people who might otherwise miss out on opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Partnerships like this are vital in helping us continue supporting young people in our community and making a real difference in their lives.”
Danny Masters, Operations Director at Barratt London, commented: “At Barratt London, it’s important that we support the communities around us, so this has been a great opportunity to support an initiative that promotes wellbeing and creates positive opportunities for young people. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of this programme in the local area.”
