Established learning disability care home in Sutton sold

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Hylton House care home in Sutton, London.

Hylton House is an established, ‘Good’ rated learning disability home registered for up to 10 residents. It occupies a three-storey, 10-bedroom bay-fronted detached property, which sits on The Ridgway in Sutton, circa one mile from the local shops and train station.

The business has been owned by the Storey family for over 15 years and was recently brought to market because they wanted to retire from the sector.

Following a confidential sales process with John Harrison at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by regional operator, Dillen Iyavoo, who already owns and operates care homes across Kent and Sussex.

John Harrison, Director – Care at Christie & Co, comments, “I am delighted to have completed the sale of Hylton House to Dillen following a confidential marketing process during which multiple offers were received. I felt it would be a great strategic fit for his group following the other care home acquisitions he has already made through me. Following on from a record year in 2025, this sale demonstrates the strong demand we are continuing to see for all types of care homes in the South East.”

Hylton House was sold for an undisclosed price.
