The search is on to locate a mystery Lotto winner in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames who has won an incredible £1M prize.
The National Lottery is urging anyone who bought a Lotto ticket in The London Borough of Richmond for the draw on Wednesday 19 August to channel their inner Ted and believe it could be them.
While Richmond AFC may be fictional, the winning £1M Lotto ticket is very real. Scoring a winner worthy of Nelson Road, the lucky ticket-holder matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to scoop the seven-figure prize. The winning numbers from the draw were 4, 8, 10, 17, 23, 28 and the Bonus Ball was 16.
Whether you live in Richmond or were just passing through when you bought your Lotto ticket, now is the time to check your ticket.
Toby Moxham, Head of Winners’ Services at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “If Ted Lasso has taught us anything, it’s the power of believing. Someone in Richmond has hit the back of the net with their Lotto numbers and is sitting on £1M.

The ticket-holder has until 15 February 2027 to claim their prize. However, anyone not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who believes they have a genuine claim can still make a claim in writing to Allwyn, but it must be within 30 days of the draw – which is this Friday 18 September¹.
