Berkeley Group launches major new residents’ wellness club in East London, including the UK’s first residents-only salt room

The Riverside Club at Heron Wharf, Berkeley Group’s new riverside neighbourhood in East London, featuring the UK’s first residents-only salt room.

The exclusive new amenity space forms part of 1,480 sq. m of wellness and lifestyle facilities for residents, including a 20m swimming pool, vitality pool, gym, sauna, steam room and salt room.

Inspired by the atmosphere of natural salt caves, the salt room has been designed as a warm, calming space where residents can pause, reset and unwind, with lounge seating and a wider focus on everyday wellbeing.

The launch of The Riverside Club reflects the wider shift towards hotel-style amenities within new residential developments, as buyers increasingly look for homes that offer wellness, convenience and a stronger sense of community under one roof.

The Riverside Club also includes a Residents’ Lounge with flexible areas for co-working, alongside a cinema room and games room – designed to support the way residents live, work and socialise day to day.

Set on the banks of the River Lea, moments from Canary Wharf and the City, Heron Wharf will deliver 2,900 homes alongside 2.5 acres of green space.
