Meet Whippies; a new, high-concept soft serve bar from Big Kid Ice Cream inspired by the magic of Mr. Whippy. Landing in Seven Dials Market on August 8th, it offers a brand new menu. Think British ice cream van icons, reinvented: a next-level Flake 99, towering sundaes, brain-freezing slushies and plenty of sprinkles.
Built for the next generation of ice cream lovers, and the big kids who never grew out of chasing the van. In the words of founder Harry Webb, “your local Mr Whippy just got a whole lot sexier!”

The Menu
Every ice-cream will start with a base of Vanilla Whippy – the Whippies signature serve – made with organic milk, brown butter and real Madagascan vanilla. The focus will be on sundaes, alongside the classic Big Kid Flake 99, made with their very own original branded chocolate flakes. Sundae highlights include:

Solero Knickerbocker

A classic summertime twist of peaches, mango and passionfruit – layered between silky vanilla whippy topped with house whipped cream, charred pineapple and glacé cherry.

Hot Fudge Cookies N’ Cream Supreme

The ultimate chocolate fudge sundae. House vanilla whippy drenched in hot fudge sauce and crushed oreos. Topped with whipped cream, toasted hazelnuts and the signature Cookies & Cream Flake.

Banana Split

Brûléed banana sits alongside the house whippy – a staple classic. Topped with a choice of chocolate fudge, solero ripple or peanut caramel. Finished with roasted peanuts, charred pineapple and banana chips.

Whippies will also offer a ‘Brain Freeze’ series – Big Kid’s ice-cold answer to the fluorescent slush puppies of the past. Expect rotating fresh fruit sorbetto slushies, ice cream floats and cocktail ice pops.

The Concept
Whippies isn’t just another dessert counter – it’s Big Kid Ice Cream’s creative playground. Part soft-serve bar, part flavour lab, part of the menu will be dedicated to collaborations and outside-the-box limited editions. It’s where founder Harry Webb gets to chase his wildest Willy Wonka dreams alongside chefs, brands and friends.
