Scholars and staff are celebrating at Bobby Moore Academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, as scholars receive their GCSE and BTEC results.
Year 11 students sat their examinations earlier this year, in May and June, following months of preparation and extra support including after school revision sessions, holiday interventions, examination breakfast bites and a specialised examination timetable to offer subject specific revision before each examination paper.
Bobby Moore Academy is proud of all the hard work and dedication scholars and staff have shown and celebrated with them today as they collected their results.
Some of the top results include:
Bozhidaria Delcheva: six grade 9s, two grade 8s, a one grade 6 and one L2* – is an exceptional scholar who is now reaping the rewards of her hard work this year. With 100% attendance, a determination to succeed and kindness being at the centre of everything she does, Bozhidaria has received the highest possible grades in English Language, Literature, Maths, History, Geography and Religious Studies. Everyone at Bobby Moore Academy could not be prouder of her, not only for her amazing results but also for embodying everything it means to be part of the BMA community.
Dhvani Patel: three grade 9s, three grade 8s, one grade 7, one grade 6 and one L2* has also achieved a wonderful set of results. As a native Gujarati speaker, Dhvani has English as an additional language yet still gained the highest possible grades in both Language and Literature, with an additional grade 9 in Religious Studies. A remarkable achievement and testament to the hard work and positive attitude she has shown in her journey at Bobby Moore Academy.
Sky Ward: two grade 9s, four grade 8s, two grade 7s and one L2* has also achieved the very top grades in English Literature and Spanish this year. Known by staff as a quieter member of the community, this set of results speaks louder than any words could. Her commitment to her studies combined with her strong work ethic have seen Sky perform very well and BMA are delighted for her.
Biorni Doda: one grade 9, five grade 8s and three grade 7s is another BMA scholar with an impressive set of results. Biorni speaks Albanian as his first language and therefore also has English as an additional language, yet still managed to secure a grade 9 in Religious Studies as well as grade 8s in English, Maths, History. Geography and Science. Biorni is an exemplary role model and his outcomes today go hand in hand with his polite, caring and kind nature – we are thrilled for him.

“The dedication, resilience, ambition and unrelenting nature of Bobby Moore Academy’s 25/26 cohort is something I will never forget. As a cohort they overcame not just the educational barriers of the pandemic, but also significant other obstacles. I am so very proud of each of our scholars and everything they have achieved. They have begun to build their own legacy and there is no ceiling for where that legacy may take them.”
Simon Rose, CEO at the David Ross Education Trust said:
