Boyband legends Hanson to release new music
BOYBAND brothers Hanson said they formed a group – so they didn’t have to talk to one another.
The “MmmBop” singers – made up of siblings Isaac, Taylor, and Zac – also told how they felt “blessed” ahead of a new UK tour marking 30 years in showbiz.
Zac Hanson told GB News: “We were kids and we were writing music, you know, the hope, the dream is always to write songs that will last beyond that moment and be relevant to people 10, 20, 30 years later.
“And of course here we are now celebrating our 30 year anniversary of being a band and I just see that it still has the power to inspire people in the stories associated with the songs.
“It’s such a great thing that we’re so proud of and so blessed with.”
They were discussing their career on Breakfast with Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster on GB News.
Isabel asked how they have managed to stay friends and Zac Taylor joked: “We set up a band so we don’t have to talk to each other. We just show up for the songs!”
He added: “The thing is, it’s very uncommon to do what we’ve done. We know that all families have their tensions as we talked about earlier this morning.
“I think music has always been something that is special to us, something that we can do together, something that we’re passionate about.
“And frankly, this many years later it has to be about a lot more than those issues, especially about something you’re working towards and doing together that you care about and that’s that’s the way music expands.
“It’s something that we’ve always had, that common thread and you’re right as young bands especially kids, you know people our age, it’s it’s incredibly large amount of pressure.
“But that’s true of honestly anyone at a certain level of success, that brings with it all kinds of challenges.”
