CAGGIE DUNLOP AND THE APPRENTICE STARS ATTEND CALEÑO’S ALCOHOL AWARENESS WEEK EVENT

Reality TV personality Caggie Dunlop, the stars of the 2018 series of The Apprentice were joined tonight by Hear’say member and wellness advocate
Suzi Shaw and a number of other celebrities and influencers at an event at Megans in Kensington hosted by leading non-alcoholic spirit brand Caleño to kick-off Alcohol Awareness Week.

The event, attended by over 30 celebrities and influencers, was created to showcase the joy of not drinking for Alcohol Awareness Week, and demonstrate how to make delicious non- alcoholic cocktails for those wanting to achieve a more balanced drinking approach, in the run up to Christmas, where the temptation will be to drink to excess. Food blogger and mixologist Tristan Fisher led the cocktail making masterclass where guests made three delicious Caleño cocktails – the Medellin Mule, Menta Fresh and Pina Fiesta.

The Apprentice stars included 2018 runner-up Camilla Ainsworth, Jasmine Kundra and her Bollywood star husband Navin Kundra, Jemelin Artigas, Daniel Elahi, and Frank Brooks.

Caleño was founded in the UK by Ellie Webb (30), who was frustrated by the lack of choice in alcohol-free drinks. Inspired by the vibrant and energetic culture of her Colombian
heritage, she set out on a journey to combine the sunny South American lust for life with her tropical non-alcoholic spirits and has created two unique flavour-led spirits – Caleño Light & Zesty and Caleño Dark & Spicy. Both variants have recently won an IWSC (International Wine and Spirit Award) and this year the brand achieved triple digit growth and expanded into five new European markets.

Ellie Webb, Caleño Founder, said; “To mark the beginning of Alcohol Awareness Week we wanted to show people the joy of not drinking and demonstrate that you can still enjoy a
delicious and tasty non-alcoholic cocktail and achieve a more balanced approach to drinking. We know more than ever people are looking for non-alcoholic alternatives with
Google searches up 600% over the last 12 months for non-alcoholic gin alone. By bringing the joy of not-drinking to this event in Megan’s tonight we hope to inspire people to try new non-alcoholic recipes as we go into the festive season.”

Camilla Ainsworth, runner-up of The Apprentice 2018, said: “This event from Caleño is all about driving a message out that its ‘Moderation for the Nation’! That it IS possible to achieve a healthy balance with alcohol and still have a brilliant night and drink delicious cocktails. So many people now care about what they are putting into their bodies and looking after their health so it’s brilliant for Caleño to show us how it can be done while still having fun! It’s also great to be back with my Apprentice co-stars before the new series airs early next year.”

Caleño Light & Zesty is a tropical infusion of juniper berry, pineapple, papaya, green cardamom and the golden South American Inca berry and Caleño Dark & Spicy is a distilled
golden and spicy non-alcoholic alternative to rum, packed with pineapple tropical notes, ginger and kola nut spices. Both variants are vegan, sugar free, sweetener free, allergen free and free from any artificial flavourings.

Caleño’s focus is not just on providing delicious alternatives to its alcoholic counterparts, but also changing perceptions around not-drinking by bringing a vibrant, energetic brand with joy at its core to the category.

Caleño’s is available through Sainsbury’s Waitrose, Harvey Nichols and in-store and online (RRP £18) for 50cl).
