Caudwell Children Raises Over €1 Million At 10th Anniversary Butterfly Ball Monaco

Renowned worldwide for hosting spectacular fundraising galas, Caudwell Children once again delivered an unforgettable evening of life-changing philanthropy at the 10th annual Butterfly Ball Monaco.

Sponsored by luxury yacht giant Burgess, the event took place at the iconic Hotel de Paris Monte Carlo and raised €1,015,600 which will support disabled and neurodivergent children across the UK.

The Butterfly Ball Monaco was founded by Modesta Vžesniauskaitė, partner of entrepreneur and philanthropist John Caudwell, has become one of Monaco’s most celebrated fundraising events. A decade on, Modesta remains instrumental in shaping the celebration, which continues to attract an exclusive guest list of celebrities, philanthropists, and influential supporters.

Modesta Vžesniauskaitė said: “When I founded the Butterfly Ball Monaco 10 years ago, I dreamed of creating something truly magical, a night that would not only reflect the beauty and elegance of Monaco, but more importantly, raise essential funds for children who need our support the most. Over the past decade, the Ball has grown beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m so proud of the incredible community we’ve built.”

Led by CEO Claire Marshall, Caudwell Children recently unveiled a bold new brand identity, symbolising individuality and celebrating the potential in every child.

Claire Marshall said: “We have developed a new and beautiful brand that represents the potential in all of the children we support and have developed a new 5-year strategy to enable us to support even more families.

“The Butterfly Ball holds a very special place in our hearts, having raised millions to support disabled and autistic children across the UK. I’ve seen firsthand how these funds transform lives, and it is truly incredible to witness.”

The evening was co-hosted by British racing driver and disability advocate Nicolas Hamilton, alongside award-winning DJ and broadcaster Neev Spencer, who brought together “Great Minds” in a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion. Nicolas delivered a powerful and heartfelt speech about his personal journey and determination to overcome challenges.

Nicolas Hamliton shared: “I feel super honoured and privileged to co-host the Butterfly Ball. Caudwell Children is an incredible charity; I’ve supported them at a few events now including the London event at the Dorchester. The charity is helping so many people, disabled and neurodivergent children. Disability and autism are so close to my heart with me having cerebral palsy and also my girlfriend is autistic. This is the perfect charity for me to get behind.”

Neev Spencer said: “The most magical night in Monaco. Thank you, Caudwell Children for trusting me to host the Butterfly Ball Monaco, it truly was an honour. This charity and everything it represents means so much to me due to my younger brother’s disabilities.”

Adding to the night’s prestige, Guest Creative Director Billy Folchetti, acclaimed globally for his innovative vision and immersive designs, ensured the gala embodied sophistication and creativity in equal measure.

During the evening, guests indulged in a gourmet 3-course meal, accompanied by entertainment from Anastasian, The Troubadours and DJ Filippo. Attendees also took part in the renowned Butterfly Ball Live Auction which offered luxury Superyacht stays and an exclusive racing VIP package with Sébastien Buemi. The auction was led by Charlie Ross, an auctioneer with unmatched rostrum experience. Ross has worked with some of the best-known names in sport, media and entertainment and has broken numerous world records.

Founded in 2000 by John Caudwell, Caudwell Children has grown over the past 25 years into a leading UK charity dedicated to supporting disabled and neurodivergent children and their families. All donations directly fund practical and emotional services which have been carefully developed with the direct input of children and families.
