Richard Osman will open In Conversation at Kew Gardens on the morning of 4th September with a lively look inside life as a TV presenter, podcaster, game show inventor and best-selling author. Expect entertaining anecdotes, candid moments and a sneak ‘peek’ at the much-anticipated new Thursday Murder Club mystery, The Impossible Fortune. Radio Times columnist and podcaster Caroline Frost will be hosting.

Love a brain teaser? Buy a Thursday afternoon ticket to see Alexander Armstrong join Richard Osman as the Pointless pair host ‘The Best Quiz Ever’ and share game show gossip. Bring your top thinking skills and a mobile device to join in live from your picnic blanket or chair. The host will be Radio Times editorial director, Tom Loxley.

History fans are in for a treat on Friday 5th September when Classics connoisseurs Professor Mary Beard and Tom Holland open the doors to Ancient Rome. The dynamic duo will join HistoryExtra podcast editor Ellie Cawthorne for morning and afternoon conversations, exploring Caesar’s power plays and the turbulent journey from Republic to Empire.

Saturday 6th September is dedicated to the power of plants, courtesy of BBC Gardeners’ World Live. Where better than Kew Gardens to join the green-fingered presenters Adam Frost and Frances Tophill for a deep dig into gardening, with host Nicki Chapman. Leave with top tips for the season and some new insights into life beyond the BBC Gardeners’ World cameras.

Adam Frost has a longstanding connection with Kew Gardens. He reflects: “My old man was a landscaper and worked for the company that laid the paving at the front entrance. Every time I go there, there’s always this little thought that the old fellow worked here. It sounds simple but I really enjoy the trees at Kew Gardens as there’s such diversity. The research and the work being done there is helping educate us for what we’ll plant in the future.”

Lovers of the Great British countryside are in for a treat on Sunday 7th September when Anita Rani will welcome BBC Countryfile colleagues Matt Baker and John Craven to the Kew Gardens stage. The team will share warm-hearted tales of the special people, places and animals they’ve encountered over the course of many years.

In Conversation at Kew Gardens is an Immediate Live event. Immediate Live is the UK’s leading organiser of unmissable consumer events, including BBC Gardeners’ World Live, the Good Food Show, Hampton Court Food Festival and London Art Fair.
