CharitableBookings.com to give £1 MILLION in shares to charity

CharitableBookings.com has today announced it will be giving £1million in shares to its partner charities.

Charities can get shares by being one of the first to sign up 3000 new customers to the CharitableBookings.com platform.

Charitablebookings.com is the next Bookings.com but with a philanthropic difference. Customers can use the platform to book one of over 600,000 hotels across 80,000 destinations worldwide, with up to 85% of their room rates cheaper than other sites.

Of the commission paid by hotels and resorts for room bookings, CharitableBookings.com gives 30% to their customers to donate to the charities of their choice.

“We do everything Bookings.com does – but with a philanthropic approach,” explains CharitableBookings.com CEO, David Johnstone.

“Charities can raise unrestricted funds via CharitableBookings.com and, in return, they promote our platform to their millions of supporters. Our £1m shares giveaway is designed to give us, and our partner charities, an extra boost while ensuring we share our success with them.”

In a survey of UK customers, 90% said they would switch to a business that’s associated with a good cause, all else being equal. CharitableBookings.com supports not just one good cause, but over 8,500 UK and US registered charities…so far.

Stephen Robertson, CEO of The BIG ISSUE, said, “CharitableBookings.com is an original and amazing online booking platform. It’s free to use, it’s economical to use and it’s very very easy, there’s a whole host of features.”

Besides providing a point of differentiation, the company is keen to support charities in raising unrestricted funds to develop their work and grow their presence. With sources of funding drying up and old fundraising methods delivering diminishing returns, finding new sources of funding is very important for charities.

“The great thing about CharitableBookings.com is we can now benefit all year round every time a booking is made,” said Glenn Pougnet, Director of the charity Street Smart.

The platform is also being supported by some high-profile individuals and celebrities, such as Jarvis Cocker and Zoe Wanamaker.

Sir Martyn Lewis, CBE, who is serving as a brand ambassador to CharitableBookings.com said he was “Very proud to be an Ambassador for this exciting new app. Everybody who uses CharitableBookings.com can support a charity close to their heart.”
