Charity Super.Mkt Launches New Warehouse & Pop-Up Events as Charity Sales Hit £5million and the Project Enters its Fourth Year

Charity Super.Mkt, the ‘department store for second-hand style’ is expanding with the launch of a brand-new warehouse and pop-up space at the O2 Centre on Finchley Road, London along with a series of public pop-up sale events.

Founded by Maria Chenoweth and Wayne Hemingway in 2023, Charity Super.Mkt has redefined pre-loved shopping by bringing together curated collections from leading UK charities under one roof, providing a hub for donations to be delivered, and offering shoppers an opportunity to discover quality, affordable fashion, while supporting good causes.

The new warehouse, located on the right-hand side of the entrance, opposite Aldi and Soho Coffee, within the O2 Centre, will be a hub for shoppers to drop off good quality fashion items that they no longer wear and will be open to the public through a series of events including:

Saturday 11 April – Warehouse Sale
To coincide with the start of Earth Month, Charity Super.Mkt will host a three-tier sale at its new warehouse, giving visitors the chance to bag a sack full of sustainable steals. For one day only, shoppers can browse a wide range of pre-loved fashion, with prices starting at just £7 when doors open at 10am, dropping to £5 after 12pm, and a falling as low as £1 after 3pm – or grab an entire bag for £5.

Wednesday 7 May – Fashion with Compassion
Upcycling workshops will take place from 10am – 4pm, offering guests practical tips and tricks to re-vamping beloved garments. The workshops can be booked via the Charity Super.Mkt website. In addition, a specially curated capsule collection will also be available to shop, showcasing creative, conscious fashion, with exclusive discounts for students

Shoppers can expect an impressive mix of premium and high-street labels, with standout brands including Armani, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Levi, Ralph Lauren and Reiss up for grabs. There will also be a strong line-up of leading sportswear brands such as Adidas, Nike and Sweaty Betty – plus a curated selection of vintage pieces, giving visitors the chance to discover unique, one-of-a-kind finds alongside some of the most sought-after names in fashion.

The launch reflects the continued rise in demand for sustainable and pre-loved fashion, with Charity Super.Mkt offering a fresh, engaging alternative to traditional retail. The new space at O2 Centre will play a key role in processing items and distributing them to stores across the UK, including Glasgow, Brighton, Sheffield and Spitalfields, while generating vital income to support charitable causes.

Since its inception, Charity Super.Mkt has seen remarkable success thanks to its curated collection of second-hand fashion. To date, over 610,000 items of clothing have been snapped up, generating sales which have reached more than £5.6 million. These proceeds provide essential funding for partner charities including Shelter, Cancer Research UK, Age UK and TRAID.

With its innovative retail model and strong social impact, the opening at the O2 Centre marks another significant step in Charity Super.Mkt’s mission to make second-hand style mainstream.

Ant Foran, Centre Director at O2 Centre, said: “Demand for pre-loved fashion continues to grow year on year, and Charity Super.Mkt has already proven itself as an exciting and successful concept across the UK. Its ethos strongly aligns with our commitment to becoming a more sustainable retail destination, so we’re thrilled to welcome the team to the O2 Centre.

“As a centre, we’re proud to support local charities and community initiatives and bringing in a popular, multi-charity retail concept like this – alongside a programme of exclusive, one-off events – is a fantastic addition for both our visitors and our wider community.

“It’s a win on every level: it’s good for the environment by extending the life of clothing through reuse and recycling, our visitors can shop more consciously during the events, and at the same time, generate vital income for charities.”

Wayne Hemingway, Co-founder of Charity Super.Mkt added:
“It is through the generosity of landlords like Landsec and O2 Centre that Charity Super.Mkt continues to be able to take temporary unused spaces and turn that into total positivity, joy, environmental and social value.”

Charity Super.Mkt will open at O2 Centre on 11th April and will be located opposite Aldi.
