DLD Students Empowered with Essential Finance Skills

Students at DLD College London, a multi-award-winning independent school, recently benefited from an invaluable workshop led by The Personal Finance Society (PFS), gaining essential knowledge and practical skills to manage their money with confidence and independence.

The interactive session explored key financial topics such as budgeting, saving, managing debt and understanding credit and investments, empowering students to make confident, informed financial decisions as they prepare for life beyond college.

Representatives from The Personal Finance Society, a leading professional body for the financial planning sector, brought the subject to life through real-world examples and engaging discussions. The savvy students gained valuable insights into how to plan for financial independence, the importance of good money habits, and how to avoid common financial pitfalls.

Fumi St Marthe, Assistant Principal (Pastoral) at DLD College London, commented, “Financial literacy is such an essential life skill, and we want all our students to leave DLD with the confidence to make smart financial decisions. The Personal Finance Society did a brilliant job of making the session engaging, practical and relevant to our students’ futures.

“The session is one of many initiatives in DLD’s commitment to developing well-rounded, independent learners who are prepared not just academically, but personally and professionally, for the challenges of adult life.”
