Everest Inn’s popular annual Diwali celebrations returns for 2022

Nestled at the heart of Blackheath’s bustling community, family-run Everest Inn proudly stands as one of the oldest restaurants on the Heath and has remained a favourite amongst locals since opening its doors in 2005.

It’s not just the authentic Nepalese cuisine that has obtained recognition from its diners over the years, however. Everest also proudly plays host to an array of annual events and celebrations; their Diwali night being the most significant of them all.

Set to return for another year on Monday 24th October, Everest Inn will open its doors to join with friends and family in celebrating The Festival of Lights. The Diwali night will run from 6.30pm onwards.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with authentic tokens; ladies a bindi and traditional scarf and for the men, a Dhaka Topi (a traditional Nepali hat that is recognised as part of the national dress). The evening will start upstairs in the open-plan restaurant with views over the Heath, before heading downstairs for a candlelit three-course meal.

The sharing-style menu will take inspiration from Everest Inn favourites alongside other bespoke Nepalese/Indian fusion dishes including meat and vegetarian options.

Guests will also have the opportunity to try some of the fine wines available, as well as Nepalese beer or non-alcoholic beverages. The vibrant celebrations will also include light entertainment and a traditional performance from a Diwali dancer.
