Vanguard School in Lambeth rounded off the term with festive celebrations, bringing a splash of Christmas colour and cheer to the school.
Pupils got involved in Christmas Jumper Day, filling the school with bright knits and festive designs, before sitting down together for a special Christmas lunch. The celebrations were planned with pupils’ individual needs in mind, giving everyone the chance to join in in a way that felt right for them.
Vanguard School supports autistic children and young people, providing education and opportunities that help pupils develop confidence, skills and independence. Staff worked closely with pupils to keep the celebrations relaxed and enjoyable, helping to make the end of term a happy one.
Principal Rachael Clements said:
“Christmas is a lovely opportunity to bring everyone together, and it was great to see our pupils enjoying the celebrations, whether that was wearing a festive jumper or sharing Christmas lunch with friends. It was a fantastic, festive way to end the term.”
Vanguard School is part of Liberty Academy Trust.
