Getir Announces Too Good To Go Partnership To Help Fight Food Waste

Getir today announces the launch of its partnership with Too Good To Go from all of its stores across the UK, as the ultra-fast grocery delivery service looks to bag up thousands of quality products for consumers to collect and enjoy.

Getir shoppers and Too Good To Go registered app users will now have a convenient opportunity to help save the planet meal by meal at their local Getir store, through the Too Good To Go initiative.

Karthik Harith, General Manager at Getir UK said: “Our Getir stores offer an incredible range for our customers, and now thanks to the partnership with Too Good To Go, we can provide another sustainable way to reduce food waste in store and in homes.

“While we wanted to offer our customers the opportunity to access good food at great value for money, having a trusted and convenient partner to help us open our doors was imperative in taking this next step in our commitment – we are so pleased to be able to do this with Too Good To Go.”

Every day, Getir shoppers in London, Manchester, and Portsmouth will have the opportunity to join the 14.8 million who have already downloaded Too Good To Go and help save good food from going to waste, all at a reduced price. They simply have to download the Too Good To Go app, available for free on both iOS and Android stores, search for the nearest Getir store in their area, reserve their Surprise Bag (priced at £5.50, for items worth between £16-£18), and arrive at the store at the pre-selected pick-up time.

Sophie Trueman, Country Director at Too Good To Go UK, added: “Too Good To Go has helped facilitate some of the food industry’s biggest names that share our vision that businesses must play a role in solving some of the world’s biggest challenges. We are absolutely thrilled to have Getir joining our community of users and businesses committed to have a positive impact on the fight against food waste.”
