GUINNESS OPEN GATE BREWERY LONDON LAUNCHES IRISH LANGUAGE TOURS FROM 17TH MARCH TO CELEBRATE ST PATRICK’S DAY

This St Patrick’s Day, Guinness Open Gate Brewery London is celebrating Irish culture with the introduction of Irish language translations for its Open Gate Experience Tours.
As the Irish language experiences a resurgence across the UK*, growing by 155% over the past five years and attracting nearly one million learners worldwide on Duolingo**, Guinness Open Gate Brewery London is inviting visitors to connect with Ireland’s rich heritage by giving Irish-language speakers the opportunity to experience the brewery tours in their native language.

Delivered through a multimedia app, the new tour translations let visitors follow the guide in real time on their phones while soaking up the full sensory experience of the brewery. Visitors can explore the immersive world of Guinness’ history, and step behind the scenes of this working microbrewery to taste its house-brewed craft beers, which are unique to this London site – all delivered in Irish language for a fully immersive celebration of one of the UK’s fastest-growing languages.
Alongside the Irish language tours, Britain’s number one on-trade beer brand*** is rolling out a series of St Patrick’s Day experiences from Friday 13 to Tuesday 17 March, including:

Old Brewer’s Yard: Guests can enjoy live oyster shucking by Wright Brothers, sample The Porter’s Table’s Guinness cake, listen to live music three times daily and sip Green STOUTies – pints with custom images printed on the foam.

The Porter’s Table: Executive Chef Pip Lacey celebrates Ireland’s culinary heritage with a limited-edition St. Patrick’s Day menu inspired by the Emerald Isle. Highlights include Guinness soda bread and butcher’s skewers featuring whole-animal cuts. Lacey previously worked with Gordon Ramsay and led Murano, Angela Hartnett’s Michelin-starred restaurant.
