Lorna James, the classically trained pianist and composer whose work has earned sustained BBC Introducing accolade and international electronic music press support, releases the first single ‘Feels Like’ from her forthcoming Dance album, ‘The Right to Be Forgotten’.
This is a euphoric, singalong Ibiza anthem built for a sunset moment — melodic and emotive, with Lorna’s signature piano opening into a deep house pulse that’s made to be sung back by a whole crowd.
The track was a Top 3 finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition’s EDM category, and picked up early radio support from BBC Introducing in July 2025.
“‘Feels Like’ is the last single before the album lands, and it’s the one I wanted to be a real sundown moment — something melodic, something with feeling, that everyone can sing along to. It’s that sunset-terrace energy: euphoric but emotional at the same time. It felt like the right way to close out the singles before release of my new album The Right to Be Forgotten”
James first drew critical attention with her debut ambient album ‘Stratosphere’, released in March 2024. Emmy Award-winning composer John Altman called her “a rare talent”, while Tony Award-winning composer Stephen Keeling praised the record as “really sophisticated” and “bloody brilliant”.
Alongside production and songwriting, James is a biweekly resident DJ on FreshSoundz Radio, broadcasting across the UK and Canary Islands, and regularly performs DJ sets at venues across the UK.
