Hotel Indigo Clerkenwell has launched a new series of cultural events and talks exploring the neighbourhood’s rich history and creativity and local stories. The series welcomes historians, writers and artists for talks, discussions and book signings inspired by Clerkenwell’s heritage.
Upcoming highlights include:
“Past Pranks & Historic Hoaxes” – Eleanor Jackson (29 Mar): Explore famous deceptions and hoaxes throughout history.
Charles Dickens’ “Crummles” – Mansel David (12 Apr): A lively adaptation bringing Dickens’ theatrical character to life.
The Mona Lisa and Other Housewives (19 Apr): A playful guide to key themes and figures in art history.
“Hidden Holborn and Little Italy” – Diane Burstein (26 Apr): Discover the hidden history and landmarks of Holborn’s Italian heritage.
“London On Film” – Rachel Kolsky (17 May): A cinematic tour of London’s iconic locations as seen on screen.

Events take place in Wilderness Kitchen and its restored Grade II-listed pub, Hat & Feathers – positioning the hotel as a cultural hub in one of London’s most historic areas. Guests can also enjoy a £25 lunch or dinner before the events.
Tickets start from £7.50, with concessions for students, London Historians members, and trainee Blue Badge Guides.
