Improve your gardening skills and get involved at the new Livat Community Garden

Livat Hammersmith is partnering with Groundwork London, an environmental charity committed to creating sustainable communities, to help local residents improve their gardening skills during the summer holiday season.

Until October, two community gardeners will be offering free workshops and guidance at Livat Community Gardens, Ashcroft Square. Participants can enjoy regular weekly gardening sessions, as well as monthly Saturday workshops, focusing on specific gardening skills.

Best of all, these activities are completely free to join, with all necessary materials and equipment provided. Regardless of your gardening expertise, everyone is encouraged to participate – whether you are looking to attend one session to brush up on your skills, or plan to become a dedicated contributor playing an active role in shaping the garden’s future.

The collaboration aims to create a positive and lasting impact on the residents of Hammersmith by providing them with valuable resources and knowledge to cultivate their green spaces – whatever size they may be – effectively. In addition to the practical skills, the initiative also aims to raise awareness about the environmental benefits of gardening and its positive impact on mental wellbeing.

Natalia Petelina, Meeting Place Manager at Livat Hammersmith, comments “Livat Hammersmith is committed to providing the tools to enable an eco-conscious local community. Together with Groundwork London, we’re sowing the seeds of change this summer, empowering local residents with gardening skills, fostering environmental stewardship, and nurturing a future where sustainability is affordable and accessible to all.”
