Interactive bubbles installation encourages wellbeing this winter at Greenwich Peninsula

On 17 November, winter will land in London – with a unique twist on tradition. Looking a little different from the usual tinsel and trees, Bubbles of Serenity takes over Greenwich Peninsula with a festive experience not seen anywhere else in the capital. Large-scale LED screens, light projections, sculptural elements and an augmented reality (AR) social media filter will create a dazzling environment stretching from Peninsula Square through London’s Design District.

Bubbles of Serenity is the brainchild of interdisciplinary designer and digital artist, Lucy Hardcastle, whose distinctly sensual aesthetic has previously caught the eye of organisations and brands like V&A, London Design Festival and Chanel. This is her largest work to date and it promises to be unmissable.

The installation launches Winter on the Peninsula, Greenwich Peninsula’s unmissable festive season. From 17 November visitors can expect all the joys of wintertime: festive food and drink at Canteen Food Hall & Bar and Bureau Restaurant, artisanal crafts and independent shopping at Greenwich Peninsula Market, incredible one-off gifts from the designer-makers at Design District, and festive activities all with the unique backdrop of London’s only peninsula destination. Full programme to be announced in the coming weeks.
