Is the UK’s biggest Latin festival London’s best family day out?

With summer holidays fast approaching, parents are no doubt searching for fun, family days out. LatinoLife in the Park, the UK’s leading Latin American culture festival, returns to Walpole Park, Ealing on July 19, offering unique entertainment for families of all ages.

With a massive parade with over 500 folk dancers, many of them children, four stages of live performances, 20 plus food stalls with delicious Latin food, immersive experiences and a dedicated kids’ zone, the festival offers something for everyone – from toddlers and teens to parents and grandparents.

The dance parade is one of the biggest festival highlights for children, featuring fabulous costumes and music representing more than ten Latin American countries, from Tijuana to Tierra del Fuego. “It is a kaleidoscope of colours and sound, both entertaining and educational,” said mother of two Miranda Pease. “It is really inspiring for children to see other young people engage in their identity and culture, and have a real lived experience without looking at a screen!”

While themed immersive experiences will transport families to the Latin Caribbean and Brazil in this year’s edition, the kids’ zone, hosted by Mr Ruffles, provides more familiar entertainment: magic and puppet shows, slapstick comedy, storytelling, giant bubbles, party games, balloon modelling, limbo and conga dancing, mini discos.

“It’s a great day out, very family friendly. The music was brilliant, lots of food options and loads for the kids to do. Everyone was very welcoming,” said 2025 attendee Jermaine Matthews. “I will be attending in 2026 for sure.”

Founded as a not-for-profit event by husband and wife team Amaranta Wright and Jose Luis Seijas, LatinoLife always prioritised inclusivity and was voted the UK’s most inclusive festival by FestSpace in 2022.

“Having built the festival and our own family simultaneously, we know the challenges working parents face, which is why are we’ve made a special effort to keep family tickets affordable,” says Wright. ”You’ll find a festival rooted in the community, where entire families come together – parents, grandparents, grandchildren, cousins – to enjoy an unforgettable day out.”

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, added: “I am delighted that LatinoLife in the Park is back and celebrating its 10th anniversary with a packed programme of music, dance and food. This festival is a wonderful reflection of the creativity, energy and ambition of the Latin American community’s impact on the capital. With Bad Bunny set to be the first Latin American artist to headline a major UK stadium later this month, it’s going to be a fantastic summer to celebrate Latin American music and culture, as we build a better London for everyone.”

Whether you’re eager to explore new cultures with your family or share your own, LatinoLife in the Park is a great way to make new memories together, celebrating community, culture, and heritage.
