KERB has the Kids covered this Half-Term at Seven Dials Market

Seven Dials Market, the new food hall in the heart of London, is putting on a feast for the senses for children this October Half-Term. Across the week of 21st October, little ones are invited to a range of kid-friendly activities and tasty meal deals at the market from the KERB team. If you’re looking for something to keep your kids busy this Halloween, why not check out these halloween embroidery designs. What kid doesn’t love arts and crafts? Plus it’s an opportunity to teach them a new skill, and you’ll likely enjoy doing it to. It’s possible you’ll even want to continue it yourself as a solo project to (thankfully there are plenty of designs online for you to give a go).

Kicking off the holiday fun will be a series of children’s book readings in the Market Bookshop. Popular authors Louie Stowell (‘The Dragon in the Library’), Loretta Schauer (‘A Monster’s Moved In’) and Mo O’Hara (‘Romeosaurus and Juliet Rex’) are holding their own storytelling sessions across the day – so escape the rain and get comfortable for an animated reading. Those looking to get into the Halloween spooky spirit can with an interactive drawing workshop inspired by the characters from Loretta’s ‘A Monster’s Moved In’ storytelling, or for dinosaur fanatics, Mo O’Hara will be showing kids how to draw a dinosaur followed by a dinosaur mask making workshop.

Cheese and wine is just for grown-ups, right? Not at Seven Dials Market, where little ones can take part in London’s first cheese and ‘wine’ pairing for kids. Cheese experts Pick & Cheese, behind the world’s first cheese conveyer belt, have teamed up with the market’s non-alcoholic soda creators Square Root Soda to create a food pairing mum and dad will be envious of.

For the mini workshop on Friday 25th October, Pick & Cheese’s Head Cheesemonger Sam Wilkin will be teaching kids about the many delicious variations of British cheese available at the Market. Grab a ticket on the website for just £10.

The food discovery doesn’t stop there. Seven Dials Market has a number of child-friendly offers, including famed Jewish deli, Monty’s Deli, free Egg Creams (a New York-style chocolate milkshake) for any families who spend £15 or over, and British seafood experts CLAW’s mini crab rolls and crisps on the menu for just £4. Any pasta maestros can head to Strozzapreti for half price plates for children under 12 when with an adult spending £10 or more.
