KICK-START THE WEEKEND WITH ANTILLEAN’S PAN-CARIBBEAN BRUNCH

Brighten up the brunching hour with a new menu at Pan-Caribbean restaurant and cocktail bar Antillean available every Saturday from 12-3pm. Inspired by the roaming flavours of The Antilles islands, the £35 per person, three-course brunch menu created by Chef Patron and long-time Caribbean nomad Michael Hanbury, offers Londoners the chance to sample new dishes, rum cocktails and live music at a lazy weekend pace.

Showcasing a cacophony of flavours from Dutch to Chinese, Antillean’s brunch menu reflects the vibrant multi-cultural influences of idyllic archipelago, The Antilles. Priced at £35 per person including a welcome cocktail, Antillean’s Brunch Menu gives former Asia De Cuba Head Chef, Michael Hanbury, the chance to delve further into his long-time love affair with the Caribbean.

From sensational sharing platters including Mackerel Escovitch and Julienne Pickled Vegetables, and Watermelon & Heritage Beetroot Salad; signature mains including Ribeye Steak with Mojo Dressing and Yuca Fries and Grilled Aubergine with Stir-Fried Ackee; Grilled Octopus with Mango, Cucumber, Mint and a Scotch Bonnet Emulsion (£10 supp.) a selection of ceviche including Mojito Cured Grouper with Mint, Lime and Rum (£6 supp.); and sunshine-filled desserts such as Carrot Cake with Pineapple and Guinness Punch Ice-Cream – dishes are varied and designed to be lingered over.

Expertly poured from Antillean’s dedicated cocktail bar, drinks are curated to continue the culinary storytelling of the menu. Nodding to the Caribbean’s notorious reputation for rum, the restaurant offers an extensive selection of over 100 distinctive types from the islands and around the world. While a colourful cocktail list boasting beauties such as the ‘Windward Old Fashioned’ with Pineapple Plantation Rum and ‘West Indian Pace Battery’ with Saint James Blanc Rum – can be paired with the dazzling dishes flying out of the kitchen.

Like Antillean’s ethos, to celebrate The Antillies’ rich and diverse community through food, drink, music, art and culture, the new brunch aims to inspire togetherness. Every Saturday Antillean’s resident DJ will connect the sounds of the Caribbean to London’s SE1 and, on select weekends, Antillean will shine a light on the region’s rich musical heritage with a range of live musicians from the local community.
