Leading youth travel brand to provide employment for ex-offenders and homeless in London

Leading youth travel brand Clink Hostels has partnered with national hospitality charity Only A Pavement Away in a bid to help those who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic get back on their feet.

Founded by representatives from the hospitality industry, Only A Pavement Away is a charity that supports ex-offenders, vulnerable veterans and those having suffered homelessness into jobs within the hospitality industry.

Having recently opened their flagship London hostel, Clink261 – and with their second site reopening in London round the corner – Clink will be recruiting new team members through the charity’s network.

Clink Hostels’ HR lead, Jen Sexton, said: “At Clink, we believe hostels are about inclusivity. We continue to evolve because of our diverse culture and values that embrace each person’s individuality regardless of background or personal circumstances.

“Our partnership with Only a Pavement Away strengthens our commitment to create meaningful change as well as supporting those who are looking for an opportunity to get into work and start their own journey.”

Greg Mangham, CEO & Founder of Only A Pavement Away, said: “With the increasing number of people facing homelessness, a surge of prison leavers, and veterans looking to re-enter into society, Only A Pavement Away is continuously looking to partner with quality and likeminded employers.

It is therefore great to have the opportunity to work with Clink Hostels which will offer our members a varied number of new opportunities.”

Clink261 – located less than a 5 minute drive from Kings Cross – is now open and welcoming guests to stay.
