Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of the lease for Harry’s Bar, a well-established bar and restaurant located in Abchurch Yard in central London.

Renowned for its elegant atmosphere and exceptional service, Harry’s has a stylish interior, alongside a spacious outdoor seating area which provides a charming setting for indoor and outdoor drinks and dining. The venue’s basement includes bar seating for up to 18 covers and a restaurant for 60 covers, while the courtyard includes elegant outdoor seating for up to 70 seated guests with ambient lighting, and parasol covers.

Located at 5 Abchurch Yard in London’s Square Mile just moments from Cannon Street Station, Harry’s Bar benefits from a loyal customer base and strong footfall within a thriving business district.

After building up a strong reputation for Harry’s, long term owner and founder, Anis ‘Harry’ Haddad, decided to sell the business to focus on retirement.

He said, “It has been a gruelling and very rewarding process, but after many years in the hospitality business, I have decided to retire and focus on publishing a book. I wish the new owners of Harry’s Bar every success in the future.”

The new owner, Savi Thakkar, who runs a number of restaurants across Greater London, plans to keep the bar and restaurant trading as Harry’s Bar and will be continuing offering the popular food and drink offering.

Savi added, “We are very proud to have added Harry’s to our portfolio and will be aiming to increase our presence in the city.”

Harry’s Bar was sold for an undisclosed sum.
