LEGAL & GENERAL APPOINTS NEW ESTATE MANAGER AT CRAYFIELDS PARK

Legal & General has announced the appointment of a new Community and Estate Manager at Crayfields Park, the 22-acre mixed-use scheme providing quality office and industrial space in Orpington. Andy Wilson, a local resident for over 30 years, entrepreneur, and campaigner, has now taken on the role.

Andy joins Crayfields Park having spent more than a decade as a company director of an office solutions business, following similar experience across several companies in and around south London. This has given him unique insight into the needs of office occupiers, a key part of the new role at Crayfields Park, where he will be delivering all aspects of operational facilities management, acting as the main point of contact for all businesses on site, and creating a welcoming environment for all staff.

As a local resident and community leader, Andy has also spearheaded several community focused campaigns, and chairs many of the stakeholder community groups that drive voluntary initiatives, projects, and events in the Crays area of Orpington. This included organising a river clean up event earlier this year on the site, bringing various stakeholders to the River Cray to remove rubbish and create a better environment within the estate, for staff and wildlife alike.

In line with Legal & General’s vision, Andy will use his experience of supporting the local community to make the public spaces more accessible for all stakeholders, enabling closer engagement with Crayfields Park’s businesses, as well as nearby residents and schools.

Nigel Marsden, Senior Asset Manager, Legal & General, commented: “The Community and Estate Manager at Crayfields Park performs a vital function, as the main driving force behind creating the best possible environment for its occupiers, and enabling greater community engagement. Andy has great experience in both areas, and will bring huge energy to the role as we look to evolve Crayfields Park, making it a more accessible and welcoming place for the people who work here and who are part of the surrounding community.”

Andy Wilson, Community and Estate Manager at Crayfields Park, added: “Crayfields Park has huge potential to deliver economic and social benefit for St Paul’s Cray and Orpington more widely, and I’m excited to be part of it. I’ve always been passionate about supporting my local community, which very much includes Crayfields Park, so this is a natural fit, especially given the way my values align with Legal & General’s vision for the future of the site.”

This news comes as Legal & General has secured planning approval for new cycle storage and shower facilities at Crayfields Park, enhancing the overall offer on-site for its occupiers.
