With Coronavirus at the forefront of everyone’s minds at the moment, up and down the length and breath of the UK, everyone is taking responsibility and practicing social distancing. Right now, it definitely feels like life as we once knew it is disappearing at the rate of knots as we’re no longer allowed to gather in bars and restaurants seven days a week. But it isn’t all doom and gloom as the dating industry look for new and innovative ways of socialising and communicating with those around us.

London speed dating and singles events company, Dateinadash, have taken all government guidelines on board and have postponed all of their scheduled events to reduce any risk to speed daters, hosts and venue staff.

Focusing their attention on the capital of England, Dateinadash hold regular events across the month and offer a range of different events including speed dating, singles parties, pubs crawls and much more!

This month, with the fast-paced updates being issued by the Government, Dateinadash has switched things up a gear and have changed the way they deliver their events to the singles of London. No longer are they offering face to face events but instead virtual speed dating events from the comfort of people’s own homes.

What to expect

To get started, all speed daters taking part in a virtual speed dating event will use either a webcam or a smartphone where they will interact with a wave of guys and girls. To put everyone at ease, everyone is in the same boat as each other- single, looking for love and practicing social distancing!

What’s more, the virtual dating sessions will be led by a friendly host who will introduce everyone, ask some ice breaker questions to set the mood and organise fun drinking games for everyone to get involved in (if you wish!)

Amidst the fun and games speed daters will also get to chat to the gorgeous singletons ‘one on one’ and get to know them a little better, as well as chat amongst each other in a group all at once. To make it more realistic, there will be a virtual pub background to make you feel right at home (from the comfort of your own home!)

Through our new event, we’re hoping to get people together, while staying apart!”

Important info

Interested in giving virtual speed dating a go? Tickets are £5 for a 1.5hr session. Virtual dating starts at 8pm. Furthermore, there will be a handy post event matching so you can follow up conversations after the session has expired.

One last thing, keep an eye out for Dateinadash’s upcoming virtual parties where between 50-100 people will be in attendance. Expect fun drinking games and lots of chances to flirt with an array of like-minded London singles!
