L&Q invites Londoners to learn more about London Living Rent at Barking Riverside open day

Londoners looking for an affordable route to renting in the capital are invited to discover more about London Living Rent (LLR) at an upcoming open day hosted by L&Q at Barking Riverside.

Taking place on Wednesday 15th July from 10am to 4pm at Barking Riverside, the free event will give prospective renters the opportunity to find out more about the Government-backed LLR scheme and explore the one-bedroom apartments currently available. Visitors who go on to reserve a one-bedroom apartment and move in by 30th September will also receive a £250 IKEA voucher*.

With bookable sessions available throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the London Living Rent scheme, including the eligibility and affordability criteria, while exploring the one-bedroom apartments currently available. Attendees will be able to speak with L&Q’s friendly lettings team, who will be on hand to answer questions, provide guidance on the application process and help prospective renters get started with their application.

Funded by the Mayor of London, London Living Rent is designed to help people on middle incomes save towards buying a home. With rents set below typical market rates, the scheme enables residents to put aside more money each month, helping them work towards purchasing a home in the future through Shared Ownership or on the open market.

Andrea Palmer, Head of Intermediate Rent at L&Q, comments “London Living Rent offers a practical stepping stone for people who want to stay in London while working towards homeownership. Our open day is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the scheme to find out how it works, see the quality of the homes available and receive one-to-one guidance from our experienced team.

“Barking Riverside is one of London’s most exciting new neighbourhoods, combining high-quality homes with excellent transport links, beautiful riverside surroundings and a growing range of cafés and community spaces. We look forward to welcoming prospective customers and showing them not only how London Living Rent can support their future ambitions, but also everything this vibrant community has to offer.”

Being delivered by master developer Barking Riverside Limited, a joint venture between L&Q and the Mayor of London, Barking Riverside is supported by transport infrastructure, green space, onsite amenities and more.
