Making Waves: Uber Boat by Thames Clippers enters new strategic brand partnership with British Triathlon for a greener London
Uber Boat by Thames Clippers has joined forces with British Triathlon as its Official London Travel Partner, in a new partnership that champions sustainability, inclusivity, and healthier lifestyles.
Operating a fleet of 21 cycle-friendly vessels, including three hybrid boats, Uber Boat by Thames Clippers connects 24 piers between Putney and Barking Riverside, offering commuters and leisure travellers a fast, scenic, and sustainable way to move through the capital. With spectacular views, onboard barista coffee and healthy snacks, every journey supports wellbeing as well as the environment, with travel being ‘Better by Boat’.
The partnership launches at an exciting time as Uber Boat by Thames Clippers prepares to expand its fleet with a ground-breaking sustainable fully-electric vessel, Orbit Clipper, which will create more integrated London travel links, connecting cycle routes from the North and South banks, saving time for cyclists, runners, commuters and explorers wanting to more easily move around London and the City.
Through the collaboration, British Triathlon members will enjoy exclusive offers and promotions when booking via the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers website, as well as collaborative merchandise. The new Thames Clippers Tickets app includes live “Where’s my Clipper?” boat tracking and quick ticketing for seamless travel, making navigating the capital even easier.
Ruth Daniels, CEO at British Triathlon said “This partnership supports our sustainability goals by providing a greener travel option for members whether they live, work, or visit London. With many triathletes cycling or running as part of their daily commute, the ability to integrate River Bus services into their routine adds a welcome, sustainable alternative. We also value Uber Boat by Thames Clippers’ commitment to inclusivity, with all vessels and the majority of piers being fully accessible enabling people with disabilities to make sustainable choices too.”
