Meet The Most Awesome Smartwatch Inventions From Kids to Make the World Better

If you could create an invention that would make the world a better place, what would it be?

Currys PC World recently asked a group of young children aged 14 and below how they would make the world a better place with a smartwatch. Their proposals are both ingenious and incredibly cute and I’m happy to send over their original designs. Obviously, it isn’t the most practical or realistic device design. Smartwatches, like those of Garmin, exemplify what a modern wearable looks like and what their functionality should be like. Those with devices like these can head to Mobile Mob if they’re in need of a replacement strap.

Currys PC World also employed the services of a professional illustrator to turn their designs into plausible “real life” versions.

These inventions include:

  • The Eco Assistant by Lacie Greenhalgh is all about minimising damage to our planet by encouraging recycling and using a green source of power.
  • The Disease Detector by Amelia Joy monitors aspects of your health, such as your heart rate and body temperature, to detect potentially significant changes in your body that could indicate something is wrong.
  • The Safety Sidekick by Thomas Mowatt comes with an in-built self-defence zapper, global language translator and torchlight is for personal safety and self-defence.

We love that these doodles show that you don’t need to know how to draw or think like an adult to come up with brilliant ideas.
