Moomin takeover at Hilton London Bankside for October half-term

Earlier this year, Hilton London Bankside became the first hotel in the UK to undergo an epic Moomin takeover, with themed rooms, a Moomin brunch and a dedicated family craft area.

Now, families have just weeks left to experience the Moomin magic before the partnership draws to a close at the end of October.

The final Moomin brunch will take place on Sunday 25 October, during the October half-term break, while the hotel’s Moomin-themed rooms will be available until the end of the month.

Raoul De Souza, General Manager at Hilton London Bankside, said: “Since launching at the beginning of summer, our Moomin takeover has brought joy to fans of the timeless world of the Moomins and has been hugely popular with kids and adults alike. The brunch, which includes a special guest appearance from a Moomin character, has proven particularly popular with fans young and old.

“With the partnership coming to an end this October, we’re looking forward to welcoming families for one final half-term celebration and giving them the chance to experience the Moomin magic before it’s gone.”

MOOMIN BRUNCH

Hilton London Bankside’s Moomin-themed brunch has been taking place through the summer, with Sunday 25 October marking the final chance for families to experience it.

Building on the restaurant’s popular Sunday brunch, the Moomin edition is served between 12:30pm and 3:30pm and features dishes inspired by the much-loved Moomin family, including:

Moominmamma’s Pancakes, served with banana and caramel compote, forest berry jam, whipped cream and maple syrup
Moomin’s Orange Marmalade Cakes
Banana Blondies with Brown Butter Frosting
Fresh Raspberry Tarts with wildflower, lavender and lemon honey
Moomin-themed cookies
Guests can also enjoy treats from Biscuiteers, the UK’s original hand-iced biscuit company, which has officially collaborated with the Moomin brand on a dedicated collection.

OXBO Bankside’s Moomin brunch is priced at £42 for adults, £62 with bottomless drinks, and £25 for children aged three to eight.

MOOMIN-THEMED ROOMS

The Moomin takeover also includes two themed rooms – a Moomin Suite and King Family Room – which can be booked as interconnected rooms and feature immersive Moomin-inspired décor.

Following a soft yet playful ‘pink cloud’ theme inspired by Tove Jansson’s 1948 novel Finn Family Moomintroll, the rooms draw on the story’s magical floating clouds to bring the world of the Moomins to life.

Inside, guests will find:

A welcome card and exclusive Moomin-inspired sweet treats
Playful wall artwork and decals
Moomin-inspired soft furnishings, including cushions, blankets and giant plush toys
A Moomin lamp
Moomin towels
A collection of Tove Jansson’s classic Moomin storybooks and puzzles
Stays also include a complimentary minibar and access to the Executive Lounge, with a light breakfast, all-day snacks and drinks, and evening canapés and drinks. Younger guests will also receive a limited-edition Moomin biscuit from Biscuiteers.

Rates start from £272 per night for the Moomin King Family Room and £422 per night for the King Bed Moomin Suite.
