MY GIRL THE RIVER ANNOUNCES LONDON LAUNCH AT THE WATER RATS FOR NEW ALBUM ‘MANIFEST GOOD THINGS’

My Girl The River returns with a powerful new single, Heavy, released 29 May 2026, taken from the upcoming album Manifest Good Things due 4 September 2026.

A raw, honest and emotionally charged track, Heavy explores the weight we all carry through life — resilience, loss, love, and the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward. It marks a striking new chapter for the artist, whose songwriting continues to blend intimacy with cinematic folk-leaning soundscapes.

To celebrate the release, My Girl The River will host a special live launch event at iconic London venue The Water Rats, featuring a stripped-back performance and first listen moments from the forthcoming album.

The album Manifest Good Things is described by writer/producer Kris Wilkinson Hughes as “the record I was always meant to make” — a deeply personal body of work that reflects on transformation, hope, and the power of beginning again. Built on storytelling and authenticity, it captures an artist at her most open and creatively fearless.

Alongside the release, My Girl The River will head out on selected UK live dates, bringing the new material to audiences across the country, with intimate performances designed to showcase the emotional core of the songs.

Kris says:
“Heavy came from a place of holding everything in at once — grief, gratitude, survival. But underneath it all, there’s light. This album is about learning to trust that again.”
