PACKHORSE & TALBOT PUB REOPENS FOLLOWING MONTH-LONG REFURBISHMENT

Popular Chiswick pub, the Packhorse & Talbot, has reopened this week, following a refurbishment which has transformed its interior into a traditional yet modern space, with the addition of new food and drink menus.

Located on Chiswick High Road, the pub is well-established as a popular dining and drinking spot for locals, commuters, and tourists alike – having had a license dating back to the 17thcentury.

After closing its doors, the pub now has new seating for up to 140 people, with brand new furnishings making it the perfect place for after-work drinks with colleagues or catch ups with family and friends.

The beer garden has also been modernised and expanded, including the introduction of new furniture, enabling up to 50 people to sit outside. What’s more, the installation of new heaters on every table, means the space can be enjoyed in any weather.

For the foodies, Packhorse & Talbot has introduced a delicious new food menu which features a range of pub classics such as Steak & Ale Pie and Beer Battered Cod and Chips, as well as sharing dishes including Crispy Squid and Battered Halloumi, ideal to be enjoyed alone, as a main course or with friends.

The refurbishment also ensures guests will be able to enjoy a diverse range of premium wines, beers and spirits – including Belvedere Vodka, Cotswolds Dry Gin and Monkey 47 Gin.

There is also a jam-packed calendar of entertainment, including live music on Fridays and Saturdays and monthly themed quizzes, with big prizes on offer.

Kazi Roomel Ahmed, General Manager of Packhorse & Talbot, said: “Our proper English pub has been serving the people of Chiswick for centuries, and we know that guests see it as a home away from home.

“Packhorse & Talbot is at the heart of the local community, so we wanted to provide our guests with even better surroundings. We’re sure the revamp will be a huge hit with customers old and new, and we look forward to welcoming people back through the doors!”
