Pizza Pilgrims & Wingstop petition UNESCO to make ranch a global treasure

Pizza Pilgrims and Wingstop have joined forces to launch a limited-edition pizza that swaps tradition for ranch – all in the name of securing ranch a rightful place in global food heritage.

Landing at Pizza Pilgrims for a limited time only, the In Ranch We Crust pizza ditches the tomato base entirely in favour of Wingstop’s signature ranch sauce, as it looks to rally fans behind its push for UNESCO recognition.

In Ranch We Crust goes all in, with ranch taking centre stage and transforming a familiar favourite into something new. Built for full-on flavour, the pizza is layered with Wingstop’s ranch as a base and loaded with mozzarella, Wingstop’s Spicy Korean Q boneless chicken, house pickles and a garlic parmesan crust. The pizza is finished with Pizza Pilgrims’ hot honey glaze, dusted with Wingstop’s Louisiana rub and – because more is more – it’s served with extra ranch drizzle.

The collaboration arrives as the brands call on UNESCO to grant ranch the same protected status enjoyed by Neapolitan pizza making. With unmistakable flavour profile, global fandom and cultural impact, the brands make the case that ranch has more than earned its seat at the world’s most sacred culinary table. In Ranch We Crust is living proof that ranch isn’t just a condiment: it’s a full-on flavour legend worthy of protection.

James Elliot, Founder of Pizza Pilgrims, said: “Neapolitan pizza tradition is over 300 years old, and it feels ready for a shake-up. Working with Wingstop UKI to showcase their ranch dip and boneless chicken is an exciting new step for Neapolitan pizza and Pizza Pilgrims”.

Dirujan Sabesan, Chief Brand Officer at Wingstop UKI, said: “Ranch has always been more than a dip, it’s one of the flavours that defines everything we do. If pizza can get UNESCO recognition, then ranch deserves the same respect. In Ranch We Crust puts ranch front and centre where it belongs, ensuring each bite is rich, creamy, tangy and unapologetically bold. It proves ranch is a cultural icon worth protecting.”
