Ukai, the celebrated Japanese dining and late-night restaurant in Notting Hill, has just launched its outdoor terrace in the heart of Portobello.
The terrace is open 7 days a week from 11am–10pm until October, designed for relaxed summer dining and drinks from afternoon into the evening.
Set just moments from Portobello Market, it’s an easy spot for long afternoons that turn into evenings over Japanese whisky cocktails and sharing plates in the sun.
On the terrace menu, guests can expect Lobster tempura, Pork Belly Bao, and Corn Ribs with lime butter. Sushi includes Crispy Tuna with avocado and spicy sauce alongside premium nigiri, followed by dishes such as Beef Short Ribs with red wine sauce and Seabass Fillet with chilli shiso sauce. A terrace-exclusive Seabass Carpaccio with Greek olive oil, chilli and lime adds a fresh Mediterranean touch.
To drink, there’s the full new menu of Japanese-inspired cocktails including Ukai’s Fizz and the Kyoto Style Mojito, alongside whisky-led serves, an extensive Japanese whisky selection and a strong sake offering.
