Pro negotiator returns to his alma mater UCL to give something back to the community

Pro negotiator Alex Adamo held an exceptional Negotiation Masterclass at the University College London (UCL) on Tuesday April 23rd, as a part of his commitment to give back to the community that taught him so much.

Alex, who studied at UCL gave the masterclass ‘Why Negotiation Holds the Key to Getting Ahead (and how to use it to your advantage)’ to a crowded room of eager faces. The degree he obtained with the institution is one of many underpinnings of his career as a pro negotiator and helped put him on the path to becoming CEO and Chief Negotiator of The Commercialiser.

At the start of his masterclass Alex explained that when applying to UCL to study his Masters in Evolutionary Anthropology he set out a clear intent to “eventually become a leading expert in the business applications of evolutionary anthropology,” knowing it was an ambitious objective. Stating in his admissions letter that he would be “delighted to be a UCL alumni in the future whilst proudly sponsoring this course and the institution,” and so he kept his word.

“I am pleased to have come back to UCL to share my knowledge with the next generation of potential negotiators. Talking to people afterwards it seemed like everybody came away from the masterclass with something new, whether that was a new understanding, perspective or knowledge. It’s great to see people so involved and open to finding out how to utilise negotiation skills in their own lives,” said Alex.

The masterclass’ large turnout were extremely engaged in the evening activities which included holding their own negotiations with each other. As a result the event received high praise from participants. “A superb amount of highly useful information was packed into such a short session,” said Paul Henderson. “Engaging, thought provoking and a great feeling to walk away having learnt something. Definitely worth the trip back to UCL,” said Marta Ferreira. “Amazing masterclass session! Really profound,” said Joy Pierre.
