Ride-hailing app Kapten teams up with DICE in move to reach London’s music fans

Ride-hailing service Kapten has partnered with live music discovery and ticketing app DICE in its bid to recruit young Londoners who go out several times a week.

In a move to reduce travel costs for dedicated fans, DICE users will be given a unique code to redeem £10 off their first Kapten ride.

The partnership comes just weeks after Kapten announced a similar partnership with CityMapper.

Mariusz Zabrocki, London General Manager of Kapten, says: “We want Kapten to be the go-to ride-hailing app for savvy Londoners. DICE users are out in London all the time at gigs, clubs and festivals. When the house lights come up and they need to get home, we want to be front of mind.”

The new partnership is just one of many ways Kapten is proving itself to be a ‘consumer-first’ brand, rewarding users for choosing their services and supporting other locally based initiatives.

DICE launched in London in 2014 and has now expanded to the U.S., France and Australia. The company sets itself apart from traditional ‘ticket companies’ with a focus on discovery and digital tickets that can’t be resold by touts. Previously, the brand has collaborated with adidas and Red Bull.

“We get approached by a lot of brands but many don’t make sense for our fans.” said DICE Head of Brand Partnerships, Tristan Khan. “This partnership makes total sense; DICE gets you out, Kapten gets you home. Plus, the #1 reason fans don’t go to a show that they’re interested in is cost. With this partnership we can help reduce the cost of getting home and get people out more.”

Kapten launched in Paris in 2012 and arrived in London earlier this year to bring their socially responsible and affordable private-ride service to commuters in the Capital. With their fixed, low pricing (on average 21% lower than Uber*) and highly attractive loyalty programme, Kapten are disruptors in the private-ride sector, and are delighted to announce their partnership with DICE.
