Rooftop Cinema Club, London’s original outdoor cinema has an all new spellbinding selection of screenings and events this October at Peckham. Whether it’s scary storytelling, a Samhain witchy girls night out, cosy TV evenings with a view, or family Halloween favourites, Rooftop Cinema Club offers something for everyone. Spooky Specials: Dark Tales Storytelling & Secret Screening
For a Halloween event with a difference, the rooftop hosts brand-new-for-2026 Dark Tales evenings, offering thrill-seekers the chance to settle in for a chilling live performance from award-winning storyteller Giles Abbott, who will bring a spooky tale to life to set the mood before the film begins. Inspired by the classic folklore tradition of ghost stories, guests can expect an immersive atmosphere where the line between story and screen begins to blur. Choose between The Blair Witch Project (13 October), Sinners (22 October), Train to Busan (30 October) and Halloween (31 October).

New for this Halloween, Rooftop Cinema Club introduces Secret Scream (28 October). No title. No spoilers. Take a chance on the unknown with a one-night-only mystery screening where those who book won’t discover what’s playing until they arrive, when they will be handed a sealed black envelope revealing the night’s terrifying feature. Will it be a cult classic? A supernatural nightmare? A modern horror masterpiece? That’s for the envelope to reveal.

Family Fun
For a family-friendly Halloween experience that even the littlest ones will love, Rooftop Cinema Club in Peckham will be screening the iconic The Addams Family, providing a fun day out for all ages. The following day, to celebrate Día de los Muertos, Rooftop Cinema Club will be screening family favourite Coco on 1 November. Other family screenings in October include Toy Story 5 (3 & 8 October) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (24 October). Plus, for the perfect day out for kids and adults alike, the rooftop will screen Inside Out (10 October) to mark World Mental Health Day.

Samhain Girls Night Out
Long before Halloween, Samhain marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker half of the year. Rooted in Celtic tradition, it was believed to be the time when the veil between worlds grew thin – a time to reflect, reconnect and welcome the changing season. On 1 November, witchy souls can gather at the rooftop for an enchanting evening beneath the stars, featuring tarot, seasonal rituals, cosy autumnal drinks and a special screening of the beloved cult classic Practical Magic.

Fireside Films
Spending time outdoors doesn’t have to stop with colder evenings. Fireside Films are back with screenings in the collection offering the chance to sit beside a wood-burning stove alongside a complimentary hot chocolate, making for the perfect cosy date night or evening out. Fireside loveseats including hot chocolates are priced at £23.

TV Tuesdays
To elevate those TV binge-watching nights as the evenings get darker, Rooftop Cinema Club is hosting three TV watch parties in October. On 6 October, as part of the Fright Club collection, fans of Supernatural can catch three fan-favourite episodes: Mystery Spot (3.11), The French Mistake (6.15) and Baby (11.4).

Then, on 9 October, from the Those We Don’t Forget Collection, three episodes of Skins will be screened from the first season of the cult tv show – Cassie (1.2), Chris (1.4) and Effy (1.8).

Who killed Laura Palmer? On 27 October return to Twin Peaks for three pivotal chapters in the Laura Palmer investigation – from Cooper’s first descent into the Red Room and a finale where everything unravels, to one of television’s most haunting revelations. The episodes featured within the collection are Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer (1.3), The Last Evening (1.8) and Lonely Souls (2.7).

Themed Screenings
As October marks Black History Month, Rooftop Cinema Club has curated a selection of films as part of the Black Cinema collection. Expect classics like Love Jones (3 & 9 October), Love & Basketball (3 & 17 October), the Tupac Shakur and Janet Jackson-led romantic crime drama, Poetic Justice (15 October) and Sinners (22 & 30 October) screening throughout the month.

The spooky season doesn’t mean scary films all around, as rom-com enjoyers can find classics such as About Time (2 & 25 October) and Pride & Prejudice (10 October) alongside blockbuster hits such as La La Land (14 and Michael (18 October) all at Rooftop Cinema Club.

Film buffs looking to make their way through The New York Times list of the 100 best films of of the 21st century can expect to find Mulholland Drive screening on the 11 October, which was ranked as #2 on the list.

On October 3rd, to mark Aaron Samuels asking Cady Heron what day it is, Rooftop Cinema Club will be screening cult classic Mean Girls. Whilst not a Wednesday, wearing pink is of course highly encouraged. Anime Night also returns for its final screening of the season, with iconic cyberpunk hit Akira with English subtitles, on 16 October.

Food and Drink
Rooftop Cinema Club in Peckham offers a selection of food for guests to enjoy from sister venue Bussey Rooftop Bar. One of South London’s top spots for a sundowner with a view, guests can choose from a refreshing array of cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine, plus for winter, warming hot drinks including hot berry brandies as well as old fashioned and warming almond-rum hot toddies. Guests are encouraged to get the rooftop early to enjoy Happy Hour for half price on selected cocktails from 5-7pm, Sundays-Wednesdays and all pizzas for £10. Guests can also enjoy Golden Hour with any jug from the spritz menu (Aperol Spritz, Hugo Spritz, London Spritz, Sarti Rosa Spritz, Clean Raspberry Spritz) for just £22, Thursdays-Saturdays from 5-8.30pm.

The rooftop also serves up delicious pizza, loaded chips and garlic bread which alongside the drinks, can be enjoyed before, during or after film screenings. Anything needed mid-movie, will be delivered directly to guests’ seats.
