This National Christmas Card Day (9th December), Moonpig, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) and St. Pancras International are sprinkling festive magic across the city by inviting little Londoners to send their Christmas wishes straight to Father Christmas – for free!
On 9th December the Moonpig Express Post Box will be on display in front of the GOSH Charity Christmas tree at London St. Pancras International train station, giving children the chance to write and send their letters to Santa in an extra special pink post box.
To spread even more cheer, an additional free card voucher will be given to every accompanying adult to choose a card from Moonpig’s Letters From Santa Range – so you can send a little extra Christmas magic directly to their door.
Hosted by St. Pancras International, the activity is part of Moonpig’s ongoing partnership with GOSH Charity, which has also seen Moonpig launch its biggest ever charity Christmas card collection, featuring over 180 unique designs, including 12 exclusive cards created especially to support GOSH Charity. The funds raised from sales of these special cards will help GOSH Charity fund groundbreaking research into children’s health, cutting-edge medical equipment, child-centred medical facilities and the support services children and families going through the toughest journey of their lives urgently need.
Rachael Halliday UK Marketing Director commented:
“We’re delighted to be spreading even more festive joy this year while supporting the incredible work of GOSH Charity. We hope to help make this Christmas sparkle a little brighter — one wish at a time and we are thankful to St. Pancras International for hosting the activation, aiming to raise even more awareness of such an important charity with our range of charity Christmas cards.”
The Moonpig Express Post Box will return to St. Pancras on 18th December, giving families, children and commuters one last chance to send their last minute wishes to the North Pole — just in time for Christmas.
Liz Tait, Director of Fundraising at GOSH Charity said: “We’re so grateful to our partners Moonpig for their support once again this festive season. Money raised through the sales of Moonpig’s special Charity Christmas card range will help us continue to fund vital services that make Christmas feel like Christmas for seriously ill children and families cared for at Great Ormond Street Hospital.”
The Great Ormond Street Hospital Christmas tree at St. Pancras International aims to shine a light on the hopes and dreams of seriously ill children and to raise vital funds throughout the festive period. The 12-meter-high rotating tree is inspired by a music box and celebrates the rich musical heritage of the station, while bringing to life the Christmas dreams of the children of GOSH. This year’s theme, “Powered by Dreams”, brings together generations to share in the wonder and potential of childhood.
The Moonpig Express Post Box will be open on 9th and 18th December from 12:30 – 15:30. All children must be accompanied by an adult to participate.
