The Comeback of The LEON Superfood Salad

LEON was founded in 2004 by John Vincent, Allegra McEvedy and Henry Dimbleby. That same year, the original Superfood Salad was introduced to the menu as part of a simple ambition: to create a salad that was both nourishing and delicious.

Long before ingredient-led, health-focused eating became mainstream, LEON championed food built around flavour, balance, and nourishment.

For more than 20 years, the original Superfood Salad has been widely imitated, but never quite matched. Now, following the return of John Vincent to LEON in October 2025, the brand has entered a new era: a reset that reconnects LEON with the dishes and principles that made it so widely loved.

As part of this new chapter, from 20 May 2026, the original Superfood Salad will return to LEON menus across the country, alongside a new high-protein evolution, the Chicken and Avocado Superfood Salad. Both salads are built around complete proteins, fibre-rich grains, citrus, fresh herbs and slow-grown vegetables, designed to leave consumers feeling satisfied and energised.

The salads also showcase LEON’s landmark
new collaboration with The Menu Partners. This partnership rethinks traditional supply chain models and establishes a more direct route from field to fork, giving LEON full visibility back to the source of ingredients while strengthening relationships with growers and producers.

To celebrate the return of The Original Superfood Salad and the philosophy of flavour and nourishment that shaped it, LEON will launch The Superfood Sanctuary London pop-up this May.

From 19-21 May, The Superfood Sanctuary will offer three full days of food, wellness, film and conversation in Soho, expanding the idea of nourishment beyond the plate. Across the space, a greengrocer-style front-of-house will celebrate the provenance of ingredients, while a curated schedule of events will include everything from yoga with Sadie Frost to a fermentation workshop with Gaz Oakley, and Em the Nutritionist on The John Vincent Podcast to an Organic Gardeners’ Question Time with Charles Dowding and Jamie Walton.

LEON will also be giving away 50 free Superfood
Salads at 12pm every day of the pop-up, first come
first served from The Superfood Sanctuary at 59 Greek Street, Soho, London W1D 3DZ.

The Superfood Sanctuary will be a space where chefs, practitioners and leading voices come together to explore a broader definition of feeling good, from what we eat, to how we live. This is a return to one of LEON’s core foundations – refreshed for now and reimagined as a shared experience.

The Original Superfood Salad helped define LEON back in 2004. It has been refreshed for 2026 and will be available in LEON from 20 May 2026.
