THE KNIGHTSBRIDGE ESTATE FESTIVE LIGHTS SWITCH-ON CONFIRMED FOR 10 NOVEMBER

Knightsbridge will light up for the festive season on Tuesday 10 November, as a striking display of more than 12,000 bulbs return to Brompton Road and the surrounding streets.

The lights return following their debut last year. The scheme takes inspiration from Knightsbridge’s heritage, with equestrian details woven throughout in a nod to the area’s equestrian past and the nearby Household Cavalry.

The centrepiece of the display is a 14-metre animated cross-street banner, spanning across Brompton Road between 37 Brompton Road and Scotch House, owned by Criterion Capital. Wall-mounted installations will also illuminate Brompton Road and Hans Crescent, the pedestrian route linking Harrods with cafés, restaurants and Knightsbridge Underground Station.

The display also combines sustainability with craftmanship. Made from aluminium and bio-print recycled plastic, it uses low-energy LED bulbs and incorporates more than 3,000 recycled plastic bottles.
