Smart helmet brand UNIT 1 and DJ Dom Whiting, known for his viral “Drum & Bass on the Bike” series, are joining forces to transform the streets of London into a moving wave of light, rhythm, and community this month.
The event will take place on 28th November, starting at 18:00 at Pub On The Park, London Fields. It will bring together hundreds of riders to experience a night ride unlike any other, one that merges nightlife, music, and urban mobility in celebration of visibility and togetherness.
Riders can register at ownthenight.live. Once signed up, participants receive a confirmation email with all the details about the ride as well as a special discount code for UNIT 1 gear.
The ride will be led by Dom Whiting, who will DJ live from his bike, guiding participants through a curated route across the city. Riders are encouraged to bring their own lights, smart helmets, or any gear that shines, turning the streets of London into a living light show.
The Idea Behind the Partnership
Dom’s rides bring people together. UNIT 1 brings visibility & safety. Own The Night blooms at the intersection of both.
Taking Drum & Bass on a Bike into the dark wasn’t a creative twist – it was the point. Night is when visibility matters most, and when most crashes happen simply because riders aren’t seen. A regular helmet protects you after the impact. Visibility prevents the impact in the first place.
UNIT 1’s Smart Helmets turn riders into bright, unmistakable figures on the road; Dom’s community turns that visibility into a cultural moment. Together, the ride becomes a live demonstration of what safer night riding can look like when an entire city lights itself up.
