Xi Home Dumplings Bay launches Mooncake Masterclasses for Mid-Autumn Festival

XI Home Dumplings Bay, the authentic Chinese dumpling hotspot in Spitalfields, is launching mooncake masterclasses every Sunday in October, to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

This unique culinary experience invites food enthusiasts to roll up their sleeves and make some adorable dessert Mooncakes with a modern twist on the traditional delicacy.

Every Sunday from 3pm-5pm, led by XI Home’s Head Chef Minnie Wang and Owner Wenjun Xiang, participants will learn how to make their own innovative, ready to eat mooncakes, from crafting the perfect dough to creating delicious bespoke XI home fillings. Classes are £49.46 per person.

The Xi Home masterclass promises a hands-on experience where attendees can connect with fellow food lovers while gaining skills in a welcoming and vibrant environment of the restaurant.

The sessions will include:

· An intro on mooncakes and where they originated
· Step-by-step guidance on making mooncakes
· A chance to make your own mooncakes – two different types which will be cooked and enjoyed at the end of the class
· Personalised tips for perfecting techniques at home
· A complimentary drink to enjoy while making dumplings
· A certificate One that you can take home, frame or show to your pals

Xi Home is also launching Mooncake gift sets that can be ordered for pick-up in store or delivery. Available until the end of October, the Mooncake gift sets includes six delicately made mooncakes, with molten flavours of:

· Pistachio Lava
· Classic Egg Yolk
· Japanese Matcha
