Dogs Deserve a Treat Too? The Treat Machine That’s Winning Over Pubs and Pooches
A London-based small business is delighting dog owners and their four-legged friends by launching the first dog treat vending machines in local pubs across the capital and nationwide.
Muddy Barkers, supported by Grow London Local, has developed the UK’s first vending machine dedicated solely to dogs, offering natural, locally sourced, and sustainable treats in locations including The Fox In, in Ealing and Bailiwick Freehouse, in Egham. The machines provide a fun and accessible way for pet owners to reward their dogs while supporting a local small business.
Pubs were a natural fit, as they are known for embracing pet-friendly policies, making them ideal locations where dogs and their owners can relax together. The idea is to tap into growing trends around pet-friendly spaces and community-driven businesses that create more inclusive experiences for both owners and their dogs.
Founded by Roshni Tulluri, Muddy Barkers was created to bring a fresh, playful approach to pet care.
“Our aim was to create something simple, joyful, and dog-friendly,” said Roshni Tulluri. “We wanted to bring more convenience to dog owners while supporting local hospitality and giving pups a reason to enjoy outings too.”
The business is part of a new wave of innovative SMEs receiving free support through Grow London Local, a service support by London & Partners and backed by the Mayor of London to help small businesses grow and thrive.
“Muddy Barkers is a great example of how London’s small businesses are combining innovation, community spirit, and a touch of fun to stand out. It’s inspiring to see a creative idea not only support local venues but also bring joy to dog owners across the city. We’re proud to back founders like Roshni, through Grow London Local service support, who are turning fresh thinking into real impact on the ground.” – said Vanesa Perez Sanchez, Director Small Business Service at London & Partners.
Muddy Barkers is now looking to expand its network of vending locations and is in talks with additional pubs, parks, and luxury residential buildings across London.
