Creativity in Care: Art Exhibition showcases Regina’s work at Southgate Beaumont

Residents, families, and staff at Southgate Beaumont recently came together to celebrate creativity and connection at a special in-house art exhibition presented by our beloved artist and care assistant Regina.

The exhibition transformed the care home into a welcoming gallery space, showcasing a striking collection of paintings created by Regina. Her beautiful work, spanning a variety of styles and subjects, brought colour, energy, and artistic expression into the heart of the home. Each piece invited viewers to pause, reflect, and engage, sparking conversation and admiration among attendees.

Balancing her role as a dedicated care assistant with her passion for art, Regina curated and presented the exhibition with the aim of enriching the daily lives of residents. She created an experience that was both accessible and meaningful, ensuring residents could engage with the artwork in a relaxed and familiar environment.

Visitors praised the quality of Regina’s work and the warm, inclusive atmosphere of the exhibition, noting how it brought a sense of occasion and cultural engagement into the care setting. Beyond its visual appeal, the exhibition highlighted the positive impact that art can have within care environments. Residents enjoyed the opportunity to be transported into nature, contributing to a stimulating and uplifting atmosphere. It also allowed us a glimpse of Regina’s happy memories and her home land of Lithuania

By bringing her artistic practice into her caregiving role, Regina demonstrated how creativity can enhance wellbeing and foster connection. The exhibition at Southgate Beaumont stands as a testament to the value of integrating arts and care to enrich everyday life.

At Southgate Beaumont, we always want to celebrate and support our staff in their passions and interests inside and outside of our home.

With wine and great conversation, it really felt like we had our own private Art Gallery in our home. We also kept things inclusive for all, taking paintings into rooms for everyone to enjoy. We would like to thank Regina for sharing her beautiful paintings and bringing us all a great deal of Joy.
