QUEEN OF HOXTON LAUNCHES SUMMER 2026 WITH SUNSET DJ SESSIONS, FROZEN COCKTAILS AND BAJAN CUISINE

East London’s iconic rooftop destination Queen of Hoxton has officially unveiled its Summer 2026 season, bringing a vibrant Caribbean-inspired takeover to the city skyline.
Reopening this season, the legendary Shoreditch venue has been transformed into a sun-drenched hideaway with lush tropical planting, a bar reworked for the season with a Rum Shack vibe, and a fresh cocktail menu including frozen margaritas and strawberry daiquiris designed for long, hot afternoons.
New for 2026 is music in the open air for the first time, with a programme that includes Sunday DJ sessions under the name ‘Queen of Sundays’, a series expected to become one of London’s defining summer rituals.
Food is led by BARBS, the UK’s first authentic Bajan fast-casual concept, bringing bold, freshly made Caribbean flavours to the rooftop kitchen. The grill-led menu draws on traditional island cooking with a modern, relaxed approach.
A signature dish are the Bajan fishcakes, golden fried balls that are crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle – that best paired with a rum cocktail against a backdrop of amber, pink and gold sunsets as day turns to night.
When it’s time to soak things up, the Bajan Fried Chicken Burger does exactly that. Marinated in BARBS’ signature green seasoning before being floured and fried to perfection, it’s finished with lettuce, soused cucumber and the cult-favourite Fancy Sauce.
“BARBS is about celebrating the true taste of Barbados,” says Nicc Wright, Founder of BARBS. “Everything we do is rooted in tradition, bold flavours, fresh ingredients and cooking with soul. Bringing that to a rooftop like Queen of Hoxton feels like the perfect match.”
“This year is all about escapism,” says Andy Maddocks,Managing Director of Mothership Group, “We wanted to create a space that feels transportive, where guests can leave London behind for a few hours and immerse themselves in the rhythm and warmth of the Caribbean.”
Whether it’s after-work drinks, catching up with friends under open skies or full weekend takeovers, Queen of Hoxton once again sits at the centre of London’s summer social scene.
Part of the Mothership Group, Queen of Hoxton has played a key role in shaping London’s music and creative scene since 2009. Bringing DJs to the rooftop marks the next step in that evolution, adding another layer to the atmosphere across a space that spans three floors of day and nightlife, with a bar, restaurant, rooftop and creative programming that remains cornerstone of East London culture.
