Forest, London’s homegrown e-bike operator, today announces a new agreement with Lambeth Council to strengthen its presence in the borough, to offer more affordable and sustainable travel options to residents.

The new agreement comes into effect from 19 March, and will see Forest support Lambeth’s introduction of designated parking bays approximately every 200 metres across the borough. To support safe and tidy parking, Forest – together with the operators permitted by the council – will implement a ‘bay parking only’ policy, meaning all riders must end their rides in designated dockless parking bays.

Under the new agreement, Forest will deliver up to 2,300 bikes in Lambeth. The additional bikes will be rolled out gradually, in line with user demand and the delivery of parking infrastructure.

The partnership builds on Forest’s existing presence in Lambeth, and underscores the company and the council’s joint commitment to supporting sustainable and affordable travel. Forest will work closely with the council to review performance and will share real-time operational data, ensuring their services integrate seamlessly into the community.

As part of the new agreement, Forest will make an annual financial contribution to Lambeth Council, to support cycling infrastructure and cycle safety initiatives across the borough. This investment reinforces Forest and the council’s shared ambitions to promote active travel and deliver safer, more sustainable streets for residents.

The new partnership with Lambeth comes as Forest continues to expand its operations in London now operating in 18 boroughs across the Capital, serving more than 1.5 million customers. Forest is London’s only homegrown e-bike operator, and the only London-based operator with zero emissions, powering all bikes and service vehicles with renewable energy.
