Manchester United 59 67
Arsenal 58 66
Leeds United 58 59
Tottenham Hotspur 50 52

Across all clubs and competitions, the Home Office recorded 1,695 arrests and 269 other police actions during the season.

Jon Fisher, football analyst at 101 Great Goals, said: “Football should be something that brings people together, and the overwhelming majority of supporters attend matches simply to enjoy the game and support their team.

“However, these figures are a reminder that a small number of incidents can have a serious impact on other fans, staff and the wider community. Nobody should go to a football match expecting to feel unsafe or caught up in disorder.

“Ultimately, supporters should be able to enjoy the atmosphere and rivalry that make football special without that spilling over into behaviour that puts other people at risk.”
