London’s most mourned Sunday roast is back. The original team behind Camden’s The Farrier – hailed by Time Out, Secret London and Hot Dinners as one of the capital’s finest before closing in November 2024 – announces a 7-week roast residency at Clara’s, the newly opened Shoreditch wine bar and bistro.
Running every Sunday from 22nd February through Easter weekend (5th April), the collaboration reunites The Farrier’s acclaimed roasts with Clara’s low-intervention wine list and a provocative cocktail menu designed exclusively for the Sunday sessions – including the Chicken Heart Martini (chicken skin-infused vodka, fino sherry, orange bitters, garnished with a skewered chicken heart).

The Farrier’s four signature roasts return: grass-fed beef picanha, roasted pork belly, chicken supreme, and their vegan beetroot and walnut Wellington – each served with all the trimmings that built a cult following in Camden. Diners can begin with Gallagher No.2 oysters from Donegal’s Tragheanna Bay, and finish with Clara’s infamous chocolate torte or sticky toffee pudding.
“We’ve had hundreds of messages from regulars since we closed,” says owner George Hartshorn. “This residency is for them – and for everyone who never got the chance to experience it the first time.”
Clara’s, which opened in October at 17 Bethnal Green Road, is led by Hartshorn and Head Chef Elie Fourcroy (formerly of Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded Artusi). The 45-seat wine bar focuses on artisanal producers and seasonally led cooking, with wine supplied by Les Caves de Pyrene, Flint, Keeling Andrew, and Palestinian importer Nabeeth Wines.
The Sunday-only cocktail menu curated by Clara’s features the aforementioned Chicken Heart Martini, alongside a Gilda Bloody Mary (olive brine-infused, topped with anchovy gilda) and Fig Leaf Negroni (fig leaf-infused Sapling gin, Suze, Noilly Prat).
The Farrier at Clara’s runs every Sunday, 12pm-6pm, from 22nd February to 5th April. Bookings: www.claraslondon.com
